Background: The Free Nutritious Meals Program (MBG) aims to improve students’ nutritional intake to support the learning process.

Purpose: Provide an overview of the implementation mechanisms of the Free Nutritious Meals Program (MBG) at SDN 113 in Jambi City, as well as its impacts and challenges.

Methods: Qualitative research using a case study design, involving in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Analysis through reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions.

Results: The implementation of the MBG program has gone quite well. Challenges include students’ acceptance of the menu and the lack of a food holding area. The program has had a positive impact on students’ concentration in class and character development, and has helped reduce the financial burden on parents.

Conclusion: The implementation of MBG has been going well, but improvements are still needed in terms of supporting facilities and student acceptance of the menu.
